Remodeling--mantle decorations and wall color
Still to do...
* Paint new trim
* Return sofa pillows and get all chocolate brown ones and one that has a touch of wall color in it
* Paint purchased cork boards and hang over sofa (all at same height?)
* Place new 6 x 9 oatmeal berber rug when it comes in at the end of next week
* Remove ruffle on love seat and sofa and use binding tape to cover exposed edges (use color close to wall color or chocolate brown?)
* Paint built-in book cases and mantle with the brown shade of paint that's been purchased.
* Add live plants.
Questions:
Do you like the vases I found? Grasses? Suggestions if they're not quite right.
Do you like the lamps I found? I'm not entirely convinced they're right...bases are too dark and different color from current endtables, which are cherry wood.
Suggestions for low maintence live plants to purchase?

Decorations for the party
We put this sign on the guest bathroom down on the first floor. Let me tell you that 7-year-old kids LOVE bathroom humor. So anything that combines bathrooms and ghosts is comedy GOLD for these kids. They had more fun making up stuff about Myrtle than most of the games we came up with.
Making your own wand with multicolored tapes and 12 inch dowels.
Sarah is sorted into Gryffindor--her house of choice don't 'cha know! (She was actually worried about getting into Slytherin, if you can believe it.)
She's wearing her/my "Hermione Hogwarts" tie.
What a cute cake! We didn't make this one ourselves, but took advantage of the wonderful people at Meijers. Nice!
